Molecular Diagnostics
DNA is a storyteller in the molecular diagnostics. We isolate the DNA sample from the source sample and identify the condition very specifically. Molecular diagnostics is much accurate than biochemical testing. We take affected samples from hospitals and diagnostic centers and provide PCR and Q-PCR based diagnostic services.
Testing includes infectious diseases – bacterial or viral, cancer samples analysis, Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) analysis from blood or biopsy samples. In addition, we also extend molecular diagnostic services in food testing, GMO identification, finger printing-based analysis, and Prenatal Genetic Diagnostic (PGD) testing.
Cytogenetics
Chromosomal integrity and abnormalities are revealed with Karyotyping. We have the facility for fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) based testing. Humans contain 23 pairs of chromosomes – 22 pairs of autosomes and one pair of sex chromosomes. However, a chromosomal disorder, anomaly, aberration, or mutation is a specific condition where part of the chromosome is missing, adding to another chromosome or irregular in position. We screen the chromosomal abnormalities using karyotyping and other genetic testing methods.
Some common syndromes associated with chromosomal abnormalities: Down syndrome (an extra copy of 21 chromosome), Turner syndrome (only one X chromosome). Prenatal diagnosis of a fetus, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling or circulating fetal cells could reveal the chromosomal arrangements. Cytogenetics analysis helps to identify the problems in chromosomes.
Bioinformatics
Study and analysis of Genes, Genomes, Proteins, and Proteome is an integrative part of modern research. Before starting wet-lab experiments understanding of DNA sequence or Proteins sequence and structure makes the work seamless process. Bioinformatics is a great solution to study the sequence and structure of the key biomolecules. For instance, to study a specific gene mutation or SNP requires a fair amount of sequence handling and primer designing knowledge. To study a molecular interaction between protein and ligand or newly designed chemical compound would be a piece of great information whether we should go-ahead for the chemical synthesis – drug discovery process.

Cloning & Protein Purification
Recombinant DNA technology opened new avenues in recombinant protein product preparation. Molecular cloning is an integral part of rDNA technology. We provide service for gene isolation, recombinant molecule preparation with the vector of choice, and cloning of the recombinant vector insert construct in either bacterial or yeast system. We take up the work from RNA isolation to cloning of the gene.
